Friday - Grooming Update
Carol Catalano
If you are really determined to ski, you can still do so in limited sections of the Grass Rides at Appleton Farms. Otherwise, all the tracks that we set in open areas have been erased by mother nature.
Wooded areas that don’t get a lot of sun still have coverage, although it is not enough for us to groom. We need a minimum of 4” of snow depth to run the groomer and to comply with the DCR regulations for using our equipment in Bradley Palmer. Let's hope that winter is not over and some white stuff is on the way.
If, and when it does snow, our plan is to groom in this order: Appleton Farm, The Grass Rides, The Pingree Reservation, Pingree School, Bradley Palmer and Patton Park.
We'll post another update next week (or with our next major weather event). In the meantime, if you are out on the trails, send us your trail update by posting a picture on Facebook and tagging @North Shore Nordic Association. We'll be sure to share it with our community!
