Gliding over undulating snowfields on pristine new tracks set by North Shore Nordic Association groomers may be nirvana, but it’s not the only way to enjoy a truly Nordic experience.
I was the lucky winner of the raffle prize at the North Shore Nordic association fundraiser last June - a weekend getaway at the Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) in Alstead NH. I conscripted my brother and two outdoor sports loving friends, planning an early January backcountry skiing adventure.
