Sunday - First Grooming Update of the Season!
Carol Catalano
We're excited to give you the first groomed trails of the season! We were out late last night with our sled and groomer at the Pingree School, and this morning we went to the Appleton Farms Dairy Store to groom tracks starting there.
You will find groomed trails at the Pingree athletic fields, to the north of the school building. Best parking is the hockey rink lot. The trail is groomed starting parallel to the drive.
In Appleton, we've groomed the Williams Field Loop, the Farmstead Connector, the Plains Loop and Underhill Trail. Some of the snow at Appleton was a little shallow, but we've filled in patches where we could.
We groomed all the trails with a corduroy skate skiing surface, and where the snow was deep enough we added classic tracks as well.
To see a map of the trails, please visit our maps page. Most of the currently groomed trails are at the eastern side of the map, starting from the Appleton Dairy Store.
Thanks so much to our volunteers who worked so hard to get this done!
