Two Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities with North Shore Nordic
Carol Catalano
Let's get ready to ski! We're hoping for the snow to come any day now. In the meantime, our work continues: we have two volunteer days planned, and we need your help.
The first one coming up is our Trail Carpentry Day, this Sunday, Dec 11 from 1pm to 4pm. Join our crew to build a platform for a bridge crossing and a trailhead kiosk.

The second volunteer day we have coming up is our second Trail Maintenance Day of the season, on next Saturday, Dec 17 from 8am to 12pm. This time, we'll be working on trails near the Pingree School. Join us for a morning workout as we trim brush, remove boulders and make the trails wide enough for our grooming equipment. Please bring sturdy footwear and work gloves. If you have them, bring your own tools, such as a pick axe, lopper, handsaw, shovel, and rake. We could also use a stone bar/pry bar and gas weed trimmer. We'll meet at the Pingree School football field parking lot, located behind the main building.
